Me, Myself and I

Do you know who you are? Each of us has our own goals, things we want to accomplish, our ideal life, and so on. Have you ever spent time figuring out what motivates and drives you? They may appear to be the same, but they are not. I’ll explain the differences later.

Before that, you should ask yourself, “What is your driving force?” Is it from a social perspective? Or is it truly your own?

You can proceed to the next section once you have found the answer. Try to re-think; is it consistent with your habits? If it does, you can keep walking toward it and continue your habits.  If it does not, you should reconsider whether it is worth it to keep working and make those habits.

Things that become the driving force and habits frequently work in opposite directions, making us feel drawn and separating us from our initial path. This is why some people confuse these 2.

Driving force is a path that will lead you to your goals; it will keep you moving forward even when your motivation is low. To put it another way, “drive” is a commitment. Although motivation and drive are not the same, driving without motivation can make you feel annoyed, angry, and disappointed. As a result, you must strike a balance. Motivation is only the starting point. We often get a lot of sparks to do different things but believe it or not, We are not always pursuing those sparks. We tend to forget those sparks and go on with our daily lives without giving much thought or effort to what captivated our interest a while ago.

The only way to overcome that short motivation is to boost your drive and take action (the same advice I gave you in my first content in 2022). In this day and era, you can get trophies and certificates simply for ‘trying’ rather than ‘achieving.’ As a result, people do not value consistency, hard work, and persistence. Starting something is a good start, but going through to the end is different.

To obtain and accomplish what you truly desire, you must pay the price, endure discomfort, and endure painful processes. And, if you want to stay motivated, you must accept that pain and setbacks are a natural part of the process.

Goals aren’t easy to achieve, as you already know, so don’t use your toughness as an excuse. Protect your driven spirit!

So, let us not make excuses for avoiding things that matter to us. If your goals are positive, there is no such thing as running away from them; instead, as you find the U-turn, try to become the person you truly desire. Don’t keep trying to avoid your ‘centre of life.’ When you get past this ambiguous hurdle, I’m sure you’ll keep moving forward and feel proud of yourself for accomplishing so much in your life.
